The Old School, Rye Park in country NSW near Yass was built in 1876 and used as a school until 1974. One can still find ink on the floorboards of the schoolroom, but the room has lost the schoolhouse chill. The School has been extended and renovated and now resembles a rambling country house, where guests relax on down sofas and are warmed by generous fires.
